Behörden Spiegel and PwC are hosting a Pre-Event before the Berlin Security Conference (Nov 29-30, 2023) on the topic “Importance of Civil-Military Cooperation in Crisis, Disaster and Defense”. The event will take place on:
5 June 2023 17:30 – 21:30 hrs.
at the PwC building, Georg-Glock-Strasse 22, in 40474 Düsseldorf, Germany.
As guest speaker, Mr. Nathanael Liminski, Head of the State Chancellery of North Rhine-Westphalia, will introduce the topic. We expect high-ranking personalities from the state parliament, the Bundestag and public authorities as panelists and guests. The moderator will be Dr. Charlotte Proll, publisher and CDO of Behörden Spiegel.
In terms of content, the main focus will be on the high resilience of civil and military defence, which both NATO and the EU call for with the Strategic Concept and the Strategic Compass, as well as in their joint declaration of enhanced cooperation. Many countries have already developed resilient strategies for this.
The panel discussion will examine how the framework conditions for this are in Germany. What measures are being taken at the federal and state levels to be able to cope with crisis, catastrophe and war and to preserve state and societal functions? The panel discussion is in German.
