At this year’s Berlin Security Conference (BSC), a panel is dedicated to reviewing NATO’s achievements over the past 75 years, while also examining where missteps may have occurred in relations with Russia and how the alliance’s future is shaping up.
These questions will be addressed by Admiral Rob Bauer, Chairman of the NATO Military Committee; Admiral Sir Keith E. Blount KCB OBE, Deputy Supreme Allied Commander Europe; and General Christian Badia, Deputy Supreme Allied Commander Transformation. The panel will be chaired by General (ret.)Hans-Lothar Domröse, former Commander of Allied Joint Force Command Brunssum (2012–2016).
The panelists will explore a range of issues concerning the alliance’s structure and organization, new technological developments, and relations with Russia. They will also engage in a critical review of NATO operations in Bosnia, Kosovo, and Afghanistan. Additionally, audience members will have the opportunity to pose questions to the panelists.
The 23rd BSC, under the theme “NATO, EU, and their Allies: Deterring Threats to Freedom and Democracy”, will be held from November 19–20 in Berlin at the Vienna House Andel’s.
