Last week the Cyber Innovation Hub of the Bundeswehr (CIHBw) opened a centre for intrapreneurship. This will be the central contact point for soldiers to push their ideas and an important step in the further development of innovation work in the German armed forces.
The new centre will provide soldiers with necessary skills to drive innovation within Bundeswehr. To this end, the centre offers, among other things, a training programme for intrapreneurs. It will also accompany ongoing projects. Within this framework, the soldiers will receive mentoring, coaching, mediation or even communicative support.
The centre for intrapreneurship was opened by Lieutenant General Michael Vetter, Head of the Cyber and Information Technology Department at the German Ministry of Defence, together with Sven Weizenegger, Head of the CIHBw.
